CHARLESTON, Mo. -- John Henry Jamison Jr., 77, of Charleston died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born June 16, 1927, in Ripley, Tenn., son of John and Bertha Jamison. He and Delree Brown were married in 1952.
Jamison was employed many years by Hequenbourg and Brewer Farms.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Jamison of Freeport, Ill., Terry Jamison of Atlanta, Ga., Ricky Jamison of Chicago; three daughters, Linda and Sharon Jamison of Charleston, Sherrie Jamison of Sikeston; four brothers, Cleveland and Napoleon Jamison of Freeport, Joe and Elmore Jamison of Ripley; two sisters, Willie Whimper of Lansing, Mich., Lillie Jamison of Cassopolis, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bowden Center from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the center, with the Rev. Cleveland Jamison officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
