Memorial service for John Jefferson Wilson of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Farmington and Cape Girardeau, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Funeral Home in Farmington.
A service was also held Wednesday at Pitts-Kreidler-Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen.
Wilson, 75, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1993, at his home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1917, at Burfordville, son of Frank Harve and Bessie M. Hutson Wilson.
Wilson was owner/operator of Wilson Tire Co. and Ozark Tire and Supply at Farmington more than 47 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, St. Francois County Country Club, and past exalted ruler of Farmington Elks.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jean Erlbacher; two sons, John "Corky" and Jerry Wilson of McClure, Ill.; two daughters, Patricia Williams and Jeanne Johnson of Farmington; two brothers, Jim Wilson of Naples, Fla., Jack Wilson of Pine Island, Fla.; a sister, Katie Schwab of Affton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a stepgrandchild, and a great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by twin daughters and an infant brother.
