John Hawthorn

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- John M. Hawthorn, 66, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Ste. Genevieve County, Mo., son of Charles Henry and Margrete Boyd Hawthorn. He and Norma Harris were married Sept. 7, 1962, in Perryville.

Hawthorn was a laborer.

Survivors include his wife; four stepdaughters, Lucille Burnette of Perryville, Joyce Signorelle of St. Louis, Wanda Weber of Crosby, Texas, Linda Miller of Coffman, Mo.; a stepson, Norman Thompson of Coffman; a brother, Joseph Hawthorn of St. Louis; a sister, Clara Bloodworth of Coffman; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Moore officiating. Burial will be in Haney Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County.
