DONGOLA, Ill. -- John Harold Cauble, 79, of Dongola died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1919, in Dongola, the son of Otha and Lela Eddleman Cauble.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, John B. Cauble of Dongola and Scott Cauble of Anna; three daughters, Cheri Carlton of Cape Girardeau, Sandra Dillow of Cobden and Gigi Cole of Elkton, Ky.; two brothers, Don Cauble of Dongola and Bill Cauble of Carbondale; a sister, Opal Smith of Fox Lake; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 1 p.m. today.
Service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The Rev. Donald Poole will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery with military gravesite rites to be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW.
