Funeral service for John H. Wilfong of Chester, Ill., will be held at 2 p.m. today at Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Chester.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. to service time.

Wilfong, 67, died Monday, June 20, 1994, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born Jan. 7, 1927, at Patton, son of Jacob and Mary Killion Wilfong. He and Minnie Glass were married July 30, 1971, in Chicago.

Wilfong was retired from Con Agra. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Perryville, VFW, Masons, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and Moose Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, John Wilfong of St. Louis, David Wright of California, Dennis Wright of Arizona, Rick Woods of Steeleville, Ill.; two daughters, Debbie Miner of Chester, Jamie Miner of Wilmington, Ill.; two brothers, Harley Wilfong of Festus, Dewey Wilfong of Chester; a sister, Daisy Moore of Cape Girardeau, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
