CHARLESTON -- John Frank "Johnny" Norville, 57, of Redding, Calif. and formerly of Charleston died Sunday at the Redding Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Ridgely, Tenn. to Della Boyer Tatum, who survives of Anniston, and the late Samuel Augusta Norville.

He had lived in Redding for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his step-father, James Tatum of Anniston; four sons, James Martin Norville and Johnny Ray Norville, both of Anniston, Samuel Norville of Gary, Ind. and Jimmie Norville of South Carolina; four sisters, Ruth Kerr of East Prarie, Barbara Rice of Licking, Joyce Manker of Benton and Donna Burns of Anniston; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral arrangements at McMikle Funeral Home in Charlston are incomplete.
