John Marshall Finney Jr., 60, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 17, 2006, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of John M. "Jack" and Ruth Orr Finney, Sr. He and Linda K. Fernandez were married Oct. 25, 1997, in Cape Girardeau.
Finney served in the Army from 1969 to 1975 in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and the St. Louis School of Pharmacology. Finney and his father were the owners/operators of Finney Drug Store on Broadway. He was a fifth-generation pharmacist in Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, CŽline Finney of Austin, Texas; a brother, Fred W. Finney of Maryville, Tenn.; a stepson, Keith Fernandez of Columbia, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Krissi Dye of Jackson, Mo.; a half sister, Rebecca Sue Finney of Dallas, Texas; five stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Full military rites will be performed by the Missouri Honor Team.
