CHAFFEE -- John Eric Nordin, 35, of Chaffee died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1959, in Dexter, the son of Charlie and Ruth Ellen Skaggs Nordin, who preceded him in death. CHAFFEE -- John Eric Nordin, 35, of Chaffee died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995, at his home.

He was born Dec. 9, 1959, in Dexter, the son of Charlie and Ruth Ellen Skaggs Nordin, who preceded him in death.

On Dec. 3, 1976, he married Jean Evelyn Edmonds, who preceded him in death. On March 23, 1977, he married Patricia Ann Jones, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Douglas Allen Nordin and John Eric Nordin Jr., both of Chaffee; a daughter, Melissa Ann Nordin of Chaffee; three half-brothers, Jack Nordin of Chaffee, Jim Dutton of Oak Ridge and Richard Dutton of Arnold; a sister, Charlene Lacy of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., and two half-sisters, Alice Sanders of Chaffee and Betty Jean Irvin of St. Louis.

He also was preceded in death by a brother.

He was a member of the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church of Randles and the Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810. He also was a Third Degree Master Mason of Chaffee Masonic Lodge 613 and York Rite of Cape Girardeau. He was employed in maintenance and as a school bus driver with Chaffee Public Schools.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. and funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dale Hendrix will officiate, and burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
