ZALMA -- John Ray Dyle Sr., 64, of Zalma died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at his home.
He was born July 27, 1934, in Chester, Ill., son of Harry C. and Edna V. Wheat Dyle. He and Virginia Fern Kirkpatrick were married Feb. 1, 1963.
Dyle was a retired carpenter and baker. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Clara Niles of Oak Harbor, Wash.; a son, John Dyle Jr. of Pennsylvania; a sister, Mable Webb of West Plains; three half brothers, Martin Dyle of St. Louis, Robert Dyle of Dexter, James Dyle of Atlanta, Ga.; two half sisters, Lou Kirkpatrick of Bell Gardens, Calif., Joyce Dyle of Indiana; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Bishop Drew Laudie and Gene Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glen Allen.
