John Dunn

THEBES, Ill. -- John Harry Dunn, 52, of Thebes died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1950, in Cairo, Ill., son of John Henry and Thelma I. Fisher Dunn. He married Rebecca Backus.

Formerly of Olive Branch, Ill., he had been an operating manager with a trucking company.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Dunn of Olive Branch, Johnathan Dunn of Thebes; two daughters, Milissa and Cheyenne Dunn of Thebes; his mother, Thelma Beckwith of Olive Branch; two stepsons, Jeremy and Christopher Backus; a stepdaughter, Crystal Fiorentino; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating. Private burial will follow.
