CHAFFEE, Mo. -- John Joseph Dohogne Jr., 90, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Chaffee to the late John and Laura Dirnberger Dohogne. He married Marilyn Davis on April 22, 1950.
John worked for Todt Sheet Metal for 27 years as a welder. He had an ability to master any project. His biggest passion was farming. John was noted for his ability to fix or build anything without opening a book. His memory of past events was legend.
He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn; four children, Karen (Ray) Gramlisch of Festus, Missouri, Kenneth (Kim) Dohogne of Delta, Marsha (Mike) Morgan of Cape Girardeau and John (Paula) Dohogne of Oran, Missouri; and a brother, Jim Dohogne. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Landeros and Tina Nations; four sisters, Bert Pobst, Lucy Caby, Lorena Todt and Anna Glueck; and a sister-in-law, Mary Dohogne.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Dohogne and the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as concelebrants. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
