John Clifford Criddle, 60, of Arbor passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the family home.
He was born April 24, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to James William and Doris Marie Owens Criddle. He and Susan Schearf were married Oct. 20, 1972.
John was a produce manager from 1974 to 2000 at Schapers IGA, Wetterau, Malone & Hyde and SuperValu. He farmed with his dad and brother on the family farm. He also was a self-employed small engine repairman specializing in John Deer mowers.
He was a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter I of Cape Girardeau. He was an avid hunter from the time he could carry a gun. He especially enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his parents of Whitewater; a son, Jason Scott Criddle of Delta; a daughter, Ami Nicole (Joshua) Andrews of Marble Hill, Mo.; a brother, James "Jim" (Kathy) Criddle of Millersville; a sister, Jane Ellen (Jim) Bowers of Whitewater; seven grandchildren, Aaron Christopher Criddle, Harley Rhea Criddle, Jesse Shayne Criddle, Ashley Nicole Andrews, Phillip Austin Andrews, Isaac Scott Andrews and Olivia Kaylene Andrews.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Delta, with Mitchell Jackson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Eric Hodge. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery near Delta.
