Funeral for John Marvin Cox Jr. of Lakewood, Colo., was held Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Newcomer Family Mortuary in Lakewood. The Rev. Edward Kucera officiated. Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Cox, 74, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in Lakewood.
He was born March 29, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of John and Adell Harris Cox Sr. He and Gloria Miller were married in 1951.
Cox had owned Johnny's Appliance Service in Lakewood.
He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force from World War II through the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debra Truesdale of Erie, Colo., Janet Rauscher of South Dakota, Susan Janecek of Oregon; a brother, Jim Cox of Casper, Wyo.; three sisters, Margaret Cobb of Cape Girardeau, Fran Gilbertson of Markesan, Wis., and Pat Blankenship of Westville, Ill.
