John Edward Arendt, 60, of Warsaw, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 8, 1941, in St. Louis, son of John S. and Dolores Heller Arendt. He and Carol Stevenson were married in 1962.
Arendt moved to Southeast Missouri in 1976 from Arnold, Mo., and then to Warsaw in 2000.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Survivors include two sons, John Arendt of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert Arendt of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lori Kanaman of Crandall, Texas; his mother of St. Louis; two brothers, Jay Arendt of Arnold, Ken Arendt of St. Louis; two sisters, Lynn Hemphill of St. Louis, Dayle Padberg of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Catherine Laboure Church in St. Louis.
Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw was in charge of arrangements.
