DEXTER, Mo. -- John Allen, 53, of Dexter died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Stoddard County, Mo., son of Mellissa Boles. He and Betty Rollins were married March 9, 1998, in Piggott, Ark. Allen lived in the Dexter and Bernie, Mo., areas most of his life. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church...
DEXTER, Mo. -- John Allen, 53, of Dexter died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Stoddard County, Mo., son of Mellissa Boles. He and Betty Rollins were married March 9, 1998, in Piggott, Ark.
Allen lived in the Dexter and Bernie, Mo., areas most of his life. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Buddy Boles of Hazel Green, Ala.; and a sister, Louise Hatchett of Clarksdale, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 10 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Maxwell Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
