John A. Proctor of Festus, formerly of Perryville, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1992, at his home. He was 74. He was born June 24, 1918, at Chaffee, son of William and Myrtle Brandel Proctor. He married Sylvia Brewer Oct. 9, 1945. He was an Army veteran of World II...

John A. Proctor of Festus, formerly of Perryville, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1992, at his home. He was 74.

He was born June 24, 1918, at Chaffee, son of William and Myrtle Brandel Proctor.

He married Sylvia Brewer Oct. 9, 1945.

He was an Army veteran of World II.

Survivors are his wife; daughters, Judy Marks and Linda Hardin, both of Barnhart, and Karen Sparks, Creve Coeur; a brother, Joseph Proctor, St. Charles; a half brother, Samuel Ward, House Springs; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville after 3:30 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Silver Lake by the Rev. Charles Rice. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A parish wake service will be held at the funeral home at 7 tonight.
