John Adam Inman, 76, of the Missouri Veterans Home, died there Monday, Feb. 6, 1995. He was born March 6, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, son of John Adam and Alvina Bleckwendt Sr. Inman was a retired self-employed painter and had also farmed in the Egypt Mills area. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1939-46, and received the President's Citation for Bravery...

John Adam Inman, 76, of the Missouri Veterans Home, died there Monday, Feb. 6, 1995.

He was born March 6, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, son of John Adam and Alvina Bleckwendt Sr.

Inman was a retired self-employed painter and had also farmed in the Egypt Mills area. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1939-46, and received the President's Citation for Bravery.

Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Lohmeier of Egypt Mills and Helen Dodds of Sarasota, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3838.
