John A. Haupt, 73, Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Tuesday, June 18, 1991, in a tractor accident on his farm.
He was born June 13, 1918, at Egypt Mills, son of Charles and Carolyn Foerenbach Haupt. He and the former Loretta Halter were married April 25, 1945, at Chaffee.
Haupt was a farmer, member of St. Vincent's Church and Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Don Haupt, Cape Girardeau Route 1, Dave Haupt of Gordonville, Charles Haupt of Lone Jack, Steve Haupt of Valencia, Calif., Danny Haupt of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Margaret Moore of Kansas City, Kan., Susan Jaco of Jackson; three sisters, Helen Haupt of Cape Girardeau, Marie Colden of Avoca, Mich., Martha Pattberg of Granite City, Ill.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church. The Revs. Art Basler and Pat Wissman will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
