TAMMS, Ill. -- Joey D. Matlock, 47, of Tamms died at 3:58 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2012, at home.
He was born June 29, 1964 to Johnnie Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Lucas Matlock in Cape Girardeau. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Hardin. She survives.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Matlock; one son, Nick Matlock of West Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Beth Matlock of Jonesboro, Ill., and Amanda Matlock of Jackson; parents, Mary and Johnnie Carroll Matlock of McClure, Ill., one brother, Troy (Stacey) Matlock of McClure; father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Karen Hardin of Stonefort, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Lyndsi (Austin) Apple of Harrisburg, Ill.; two stepsons, Dustin Gunning and Landon Hoh, both of Harrisburg; one grandson, Lucas Matlock of Jonesboro, Ill.; one granddaughter, Madison Matlock of West Paducah, Ky.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd., Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lindsey Cemetery, with the Rev. Gail Fuhr officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family to offset final expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
