JOE WARFIELD

Funeral service for Joe Warfield, 547 S. Frederick, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of God in Christ. The Rev. William Bird will officiate, with burial in Warfield Cemetery at Oran.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to service time.

A.L. Beal Funeral Home in St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.

Warfield, 77, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1993, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

He was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Natchez, Miss., son of Elisha and Anna Warfield. He and Mary Lee Porter were married in 1953. She preceded him in death.

Warfield owned and operated Warfield Trucking in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorthy Latin of St. Louis, Pat Worth of Chicago; a brother, Sam Warfield of Sikeston; two sisters, Ann Anderson and Mary Roberts of St. Louis; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother.
