Joe Tidwell

Samuel Joe Tidwell, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born May 11, 1934, at Cape Girardeau, son of Willam F. and Rose Robinson Tidwell. He and Verna Ates were married Jan. 17, 1959 at Cape Girardeau.

He worked at Chateau Girardeau for 24 years. Tidwell was a member of the Travelers Protective Association.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Rose, and a sister, Mary Allen, both of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Cape Girardeau.
