Joe Oliver Brasher, 74, of Fulton, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born Jan. 20, 1919, at Burfordville, son of Jesse D. and Viola Nanney Brasher.
Brasher attended Southeast Missouri State University. He taught school in Dunklin County, was a high school coach at Campbell, operated a used car and auto salvage business at Malden, and had operated two service stations.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of first lieutenant.
Survivors include two sisters, V.J. Allen and Mary Wiley of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, William Brasher of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park. The Rev. Donnie Ford will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
