Joe Hal Miller, 76, of Millersville passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his son's home near Millersville.
He was born June 2, 1938, in Millersville, son of Thomas Bryan "T.B." and Mildred Irene Stearns Miller. He and Charlotte Drum were married May 16, 1960, at Millersville Methodist Church.
Joe was a 1956 graduate of Jackson High School, and was a member of Millersville Methodist Church. He lived all his life on the family farm near Millersville, where he raised Hereford cattle and agricultural crops. He was a residential builder for area contractors, retiring in 1998.
Loving survivors include Charlotte, his wife of nearly 55 years; two sons, Lane Miller and Rick (Rhonda) Miller of Millersville; two brothers, Thomas Miller of Millersville and Michael (Cathy) Miller of Jackson; a sister, Barbara Morris of Florissant, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Joe B., Natalie, Megan, Josh and Jake Miller, all of Millersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery near Daisy.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or New Salem Cemetery Fund.
