Joe King

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Joseph P. "Joe" King, 71, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 11, 1940, in St. Louis, son of Eugene and Josephine Bonzani King. He and Barbara Ann Merz were married May 20, 1967, in St. Louis.

King was an aviation engineer with Sabreliner Corp. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara King of Perryville; two sons, Thomas (Carolyn) King and Mark (Jessica) King of Perryville; three daughters, Pam (Duane) Tarrillion and Paula (Marty) Ernst of Perryville, and Patrice (Chad) McIver of St. Peters, Mo.; two brothers, Gene and Vernon King of St. Louis; three sisters, Margaret Caldwell, Annie Gates and Ginny Wehrman of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Amber, Vince, Courtney and Nick King, Madeline and Samantha Ernst, Sara McIver and Drew Tarrillion.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maurus Catholic Church, with the Revs. Tony Dattilo and Daniel Merz officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery, with graveside honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
