JONESBORO, Ill. -- Joe Dodd, 65, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1993, at his residence.
He was born April 2, 1928, at Jonesboro, son of Paul A. and Helen Brown Dodd.
He married Helen Harris, Aug. 15, 1949, at Piggott, Ark.
Dodd was a retired truck driver, who worked for Bunny Bread and ABF Truck Lines.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Dodd was a member of the Ware United Methodist Church in Ware, Ill. He was also a member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna, Ill.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Dongola, Ill.; two daughters, Reta Dodd and Debra Davis, both of Anna; a son, Steve Dodd of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Francis Dodd of Alto Pass, Ill., Gordon Dodd of Dongola; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro, and on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral, at the Ware United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ware United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Prather.
Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
