PERRYVILLE -- Joe D. Dodd, 75, died Monday, June 19, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Wheatall, Ill., son of O.L. and Edith Dodd. He married Edith Collier June 18, 1960, in Perryville. She survives.
Dodd was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 133 and is a World War II Air Force veteran.
Survivors are two sons, Jerry Dodd of Bonne Terre and Paul Dodd of O'Fallon; three daughters, Gail Wright of New Florence, Linda Runyon of O'Fallon and Mary Jo Manion of St. Peters; a sister, Gail Grissom of Anna, Ill.; a brother, Leon Dodd of Dongola, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a stepbrother.
Friends may call today from 4 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. There will be an American Legion wake tonight at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Old Gochen Cemetery in Oak Ridge.
