Joe Cannon

GONZALES, La. -- Joe Lynn Cannon, 66, of Gonzales passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to the late Louie L. and Nora Lee Pryor Cannon. He married Maria Cecilia Nuevo on Aug. 8, 2008, and she survives of the home.

Joe was a retired owner/operator in the transportation industry in Gonzales. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 810 in Chaffee, Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Cannon; a son, Richard L. Cannon; and a stepson, Bryan Sarausad; two daughters, Heidi L. Mitchell and Kara L. (Mike) Dufrene; two stepdaughters, Evee (John) Lindamood and Venice Nuevo; and seven grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
