JOE BECK JR.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Joe E. Beck Jr., 46, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 1, 1954, at Sikeston, son of Joe E. Beck Sr. and Marjorie Dena Alsup Beck. He and Lee Ann Napier were married Dec. 23, 1973, in Sikeston.

Beck graduated from Sikeston High School in 1972 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He attended auctioneer school in 1974. He later worked with Beck & McCord Auction Co. and with his father's Beck & Beck Auction Co. Beck also owned a trailer manufacturing company and worked as farmer, a real estate appraiser and real estate broker. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; father; a son, Jacob Beck of Sikeston; a daughter, Stephanie Beck of Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Connie Gardner of Sikeston; and a stepmother, Peggy Beck of Sikeston.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Geers will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
