DOE RUN -- Joe Albert Hodge, 61, of Doe Run and formerly of Chaffee, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997, at the family home in Doe Run.
He was born in Leemon Jan. 22, 1936, son of Laura Dunn Hodge and Elery Lee Hodge.
He was an orderly at the Farmington State Hospital. He was in the U.S. Army for 11 years, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his father of Chaffee; two sons, Steve Skidmore of Knoxville, Tenn., and Danny Bradley of Thebes, Ill.; three daughters, Cindy Richard of Loveland, Colo., and Sharon Lee and Charleen Neal, both of Washington state; three brothers, John Hodge of Scott City and Tom and Richard Hodge, both of Chaffee; two sisters, Lena Ancell of Chaffee and Nelda Sue Gross of Leemon; a special friend, Mary Glenn of Doe Run; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister, three brothers and a grandchild.
Visitation will be at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 6 p.m. today. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. W.R. Harrell officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Fruitland.
