PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Joanna Joyce Lottes, 69, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, with her family at her side. She was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Earl and Helen Foeste Sewing. She and John "Skip" Lottes were married Feb. 9, 1963...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Joanna Joyce Lottes, 69, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, with her family at her side.

She was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Earl and Helen Foeste Sewing. She and John "Skip" Lottes were married Feb. 9, 1963.

Mrs. Lottes had worked as a fashion buyer in the ladies department of Rozier's until retiring in 1998. Since her retirement she had become an avid bowler.

Joanna graduated from Perryville High School in 1962. Family was her top priority and, without a doubt, her greatest joy. She spent her life as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Her family includes her beloved dog, Penny.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karen (John) Lundy of Perryville; a son, Steve Lottes of Columbia, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Lezlie and Megan Lundy, Sydney and Annie Lottes.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent Church Endowment or American Heart/Stroke Association.
