SIKESTON, Mo. -- Joanna Taylor Black, 68, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 22, 1932, at Kewanee, Mo., daughter of Ira Lee "Scotty" and Edna Fern Schaffer Taylor. She and C.P. "Junior" Black were married Oct. 13, 1978, in Sikeston.
Black was a bookkeeper for 11 years at the Bank of Sikeston and then a bookkeeper at a bank in St. Joseph, Mich. After returning to Sikeston, she was a bookkeeper for seven years at Britt's Department Store.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include her husband and a brother, Robert E. "Butch" Taylor of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Nall; and a brother.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Black's nephew, John Dever, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jim Davis. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
