Joann B. Thornton, 75, of Prairie Village, Kan., died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital following a long term illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Orville and Thelma Givens Boswell. She married William W. Thornton.
Thornton was a graduate of Central High School, and had worked at Southwestern Bell.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Fugitt of Olathe, Kan., Deborah Girard of Portsmouth, R.I.; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
There is no service.
