JoAnn Lindsey Rainey Corvin, 50, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at her home.
She was born Oct. 29, 1957, in St. Louis, daughter of Shirley Wayne and Marilyn June Wilson Lindsey. Her children's father, Phillip Leon Rainey, preceded her in death April 5, 2000.
Corvin was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church. She was a graduate of the former University High School in Cape Girardeau. She had been a truck driver many years, and was an avid horse lover.
She is survived by her parents of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Jeromie Lee Rainey and wife Julie of Seneca, S.C., Travis Wade Rainey, who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Hawaii, Joshua Wayne Rainey of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Monte Seabaugh of Kansas City, Mo.; a grandchild, Evan Leo Rainey; and several nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jim Matthews, Donny Ford and Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
