JoAnn Baugher

JoAnn Williams Baugher, 79, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of McClure, Illinois, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, with her family by her side.

She was born Jan. 31, 1940, in McClure, the daughter of Harry and Josephine Miller Williams.

For many years, JoAnn worked as a CNA for VNA Home Health. She also had worked at Catfish Castle. JoAnn enjoyed many things in life -- playing bingo, crocheting, Elvis, her roses, the color red, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and fishing. She was a member of the former Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Richard) Phillips of Tamms, Illinois; son, Terry Baugher of McClure; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Williams of McClure; sister, Lou Etta Smith of Cape Girardeau; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ricky in 1963 and Dan in 1995; and sister, Diana Meggs.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Lindsey Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lindsey Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
