Joan L. Siemers Masters, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born March 26, 1925, in Quincy, Fla., daughter of Ocie Ollie and Corine Agnes Glenn Fletcher.
She and Harry A. Siemers were married June 13, 1946, at Andrews Air Force Base. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1983. She later married William Masters on Jan. 1, 1985. He preceded in 1999.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Junior Aid. She also was active in Toastmasters International more than 25 years.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew (Bette) Siemers of Cape Girardeau and Seth (Denise) Siemers of Cottleville, Mo.; three daughters, Diane (Ray) Gault of Kansas City, Kan., Jean (Michael) McGinnis of St. Louis and Debbie (Danny) Bickings of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jim Fletcher of Quincy, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Chasteen; and a sister, Ann Harmon.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund or charity of choice.
