ORAN, Mo. -- Joan Gayle Hill, 69, of Oran died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Miller City, Ill., to Edith Louise Davison Ice of Cairo, Ill., and the late Thomas Franklin Ice. She and Charles David Hill were married Nov. 25, 1965.
Joan lived in Oran more than 40 years. She was a member of Miner Baptist Church. She was a home health worker until ill health forced her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; mother; a daughter, Anne Renee Hill of Lansing, Mich.; a brother, Tommy "Sonny" Ice of Mounds, Ill.; four sisters, Sharon Dunn, Barbara Pulliam and Pamela Ice, all of Cairo, Brenda Bone of Charleston, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery at Charleston.
