OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Jo Collins, 85, of Olive Branch died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Southern Illinois, daughter of Joseph and Bessie Siers. She and Bill Collins were married in 1945 in Alexander County, Ill. He preceded her in death July 10, 2006...

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Jo Collins, 85, of Olive Branch died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Southern Illinois, daughter of Joseph and Bessie Siers. She and Bill Collins were married in 1945 in Alexander County, Ill. He preceded her in death July 10, 2006.

Jo was a lifelong resident of Southern Illinois. She was a graduate of Tamms High School and also graduated from business college in Paducah, Ky.

She was a supervisor of case workers for the state of Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cairo, Ill.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie (Barry) Milton of Benton, Ill., Joanie (James) Kluesner of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Leo Siers of Delray Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Judi Collins of Tallahassee, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Joe and Emily Milton, Wade and Katy Collins, Lacy Turner, Zach and Alli Kluesner; two great-grandchildren, Riley Tschannen and Leoni Milton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, Kevin and Mark Collins.

Per Jo's request, there will be no visitation or service.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
