Jimmy Lynn Simms, 50, of Scott City died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 25, 1964, in Cape Girardeau to Russell and Kathryn Daniels Simms.
Jimmy attended Kelly High School and lived most of his life in Commerce, Missouri. He loved watching NASCAR, boxing and eating fish.
He is survived by two sons, Jordan Simms of St. Louis and Preston Simms of East Prairie, Missouri; a daughter, Jessica Simms of Commerce; a granddaughter, Charlotte Simms; four sisters, Brenda (Buck) Hanners of Commerce, Diane Mathis of Thebes, Illinois, Terry (Tom) Bollinger and Patty Fraser of Jackson; a half-sister, Stephanie (Chris) Wilburn of Chaffee, Missouri; and a stepbrother, Edison Elliott of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 20 at Commerce Baptist Church in Commerce, with the Rev. Dan Stevens officiating.
