BONNE TERRE -- Funeral for Jimmy Dale Scowden of Bonne Terre will be held at 1 p.m. today at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. The Rev. Denver Glenn will officiate.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Berrong Cemetery near Advance.

Scowden, 69, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 13, 1930, at Greenville, son of Charles and Eva Looney Scowden.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Scowden of Owensville; a daughter, Wilda Danback of Festus; a sister, Ellen Overton of Advance; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and a sister.
