Graveside service for Jimmie Fay Thompson of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. today at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Thompson, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 22, 1916, at Bernie, Mo., daughter of James A. and Cordie Wheatley Miller. She and Russell G. Thompson were married Aug. 17, 1940, in St. Louis.
Thompson was a nurse aide at Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis, and was a ticket agent for Illinois Central Railroad.. She moved to Jackson in 1973 from Houston, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include a brother, Maurice Miller of Boynton Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, and two sisters.
