Jimmie Jones, 76, of 555 N. Spring Ave., died Friday, April 9, 1993, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
He was born Aug. 18, 1928, at Blytheville, Ark., son of Rolla E. and Mary Pearl Scott.
He was married to Elaine Gundermann, June 6, 1980.
Jones served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired mechanic for the Ryder Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Andrea Barry of Devner, Colo., Melissa Durfor of Hillsboro, Mo.; two step-daughters, Yvonne G. Brown of Cape Girardeau, Jo Ann Robins of Pensacola, Fla.; a step-son, Glenn E. Jennings of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Joe Jones of Advance; six sisters, Mora Bidewell of Advance, Victoria Riley of Portage, Wis., Patricia Ramsey of Wedgefield, S.C., Ramona Robins of Piedmont, Mo., Bonnie Kipp of Skokie, Ill., Jackie Harris of Pensacola, Fla; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kendal Hicks officiating.
Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
