JIMMIE HERRON

MARBLE HILL -- Jimmie Herron, 63, of Marble Hill, died Monday, June 7, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Jasper, Ala., son of William L. and Ida Mae Wright Herron. He and Lela L. Stratton were married Dec. 5, 1953.

Herron had worked at various pallet manufacturing companies, and was a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist Church near here.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James and John Herron; four daughters, Barbara and Jeannie Jordan, Janet and Sue Herron; a sister, Martha Thornhill, all of Marble Hill, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. Loyd Green and Jesse Mills will officiate, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
