MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Jimmie Mays Gore, 73, of Matthews died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at his home.
He was born Aug. 28, 1930, at Matthews, son of Raymond R. and Bertha P. Mays Gore. He and Bertha Burrell were married Dec. 21, 1956.
Gore moved to Matthews four years ago from East Prairie, Mo. He was a retired maintenance worker with Teamsters Local 688 in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael and Ricky Gore of Spanish Lake, Mo., Dennis Gore of East Prairie; a daughter, Debbie Whybark of Matthews; three brothers, Richard Gore of East Prairie, Robert Gore of Wright City, Mo., Dale Gore of Rector, Ark.; five sisters, Mildred Coffer of Wright City, Sally White of Cape Girardeau, Sue Talley of Warrenton, Mo., Diane Haney of Sikeston, Mo., Joyce Johnson of Jefferson City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
There is no visitation or funeral scheduled.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
