Jim Franklin Jerls, 42, of St. Louis died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1972, in McHenry, Illinois, to Jerry and Mary Allen Jerls. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mary and Kenneth Kinder of Scott City; a brother, John (Tammy) Jerls of Scott City; a stepbrother, Michael Reinbott of St. James, Missouri; a half brother, Rocky Jerls of Cape Girardeau; and a half sister, Jennifer Jerls of Cape Girardeau...

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and a stepbrother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jeremy Sells officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
