BLOOMFIELD -- Opal Jewell Jarrell, 74, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, June 12, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 26, 1921, at Bloomfield, daughter of Pryor and Sara Bess Harper. She and Charles Monroe Jarrell were married Feb. 22, 1941. He died May 17, 1984...

BLOOMFIELD -- Opal Jewell Jarrell, 74, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, June 12, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 26, 1921, at Bloomfield, daughter of Pryor and Sara Bess Harper. She and Charles Monroe Jarrell were married Feb. 22, 1941. He died May 17, 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, June Walpole of Dexter; a brother, John Harper of Carlinville, Ill.; a granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald King officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
