ANNA, Ill. -- Jewell J. Cook, 85, of Anna died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at her home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1914, at Advance, Mo., daughter of John and Gertrude Schlenker Noble. She and Lawrence W. Cook were married Jan. 9, 1932, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died Dec. 11, 1973.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Lacy of Mission, Texas; three sons, Larry L. Cook of Dongola, Ill., Mike Cook of Anna, and Roger Cook of Jonesboro; a sister, Wanda Nance of Whitewater, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant sons, a daughter, two brothers and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Chapel in Anna and again Wednesday until the funeral hour.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
