Jewel A. Tidwell, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Arbor, Mo., to Ernest and Maggie Nolen Tidwell.
Jewel was a sewing machine operator 45 years at Florsheim Shoe. She was a member of Cape First.
Survivors include a niece, Gailene Statler of Cape Girardeau, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
