Jewel Eloide Seabaugh, 88, of Gordonville died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 16, 1931 in Oak Ridge to Clara Alma Hartle Caraker. She and Paul Howard Seabaugh were married June 17, 1948, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1999...

Jewel Eloide Seabaugh, 88, of Gordonville died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 16, 1931 in Oak Ridge to James Edgar and Clara Alma Hartle Caraker. She and Paul Howard Seabaugh were married June 17, 1948, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1999.

She was a beautician.

She enjoyed singing, crocheting, knitting and painting.

She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees and ministries.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Gladwell, Bonita Sanders, both of Sparta, Wisconsin, and Yana McIntyre of Charleston, South Carolina; sisters, Peggy Blattel and Kay Mason, both of Perryville, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Cook; husband, Paul Howard Seabaugh; son, Michael Paul Seabaugh; and sisters, Modena Drennan and Deanna Seabaugh.

Due to current gathering restrictions, there will be a private graveside service Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordonville with her grandson, the Rev. Daniel Seabaugh officiating.

A celebration of Jewel's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alzfdn.org.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
