BELL CITY -- Jewel Georgia Rhodes, 92, of the Bell City and Vanduser areas died Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance.
She was born June 20, 1905, daughter of John T. and Eliza Mathews Pearson. She married Lee Alex Rhodes, who died Jan. 3, 1974.
Rhodes moved to this area in 1933 from Lamar, Ark. She was a member of General Baptist Church at Bell City.
Survivors include a son, Charles Rhodes of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, nine sisters, and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Otis Littles officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
