McCLURE, Ill. -- Jessie Marie Rhymer, 81, of McClure, died Friday, Nov. 22, 1996, at her home.
She was born June 28, 1915, at McClure, daughter of James and Agnes Charles Reavis. She and John W. Rhymer were married July 15, 1933, in Cairo. He died Jan. 23, 1991.
Rhymer had been active in the McClure community, and was a member of Homemakers Club of McClure more than 20 years. She had been a volunteer at the Information Desk at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., since 1959.
Survivors include a brother, Cloyd Reavis of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. Greg Morrison and Terry Burchyett officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
